There are several turning points stressing the depression of Tris from getting through initiation, changing her faction, bearing the pain of training, bullied by Peter and his buddies, she being divergent where people haunt to kill her. The stimulations which hurt her though she passes it, afraid of her five fears, erudite revolution were the main conflicts The whole plot goes through various concepts of conflict dealing and teaching how to face problems. One of the first conflicts in the book is after the “Aptitude Test.” The Aptitude test is a test was they choose which town they get to go into. Beatrice is told she is supposed to go home because of her test results. In the test she is told she can be Abnegation or Dauntless which even proves her divergent. Her thoughts reproach reminding her that without a faction there is no life but faction less (ashamedness of living a horrible poor life). The second conflict which is focused on is after she chooses Dauntless her career for the rest of her life. Her mother’s and father’s reactions were completely different. When she walked by her father he was frowning. This was because he wanted their family to be all together forever and not be split apart having to go to different places. The third conflict is with the training. Training has lots of conflicts and it seems to make enemies. This is because you are fighting them until they are unconscious. So as Tris is emerged in winning and ranking good in various stages many dangers appear, where Four (Tobias, her boy friend) saves her and protects her with love. The forth conflict in the book is the war between each of the people in the group. Each person from the ceremony was trying to fight their way into Dauntless. The training consisted of beating people half to death so that you could get more respect in Dauntless. Later on the erudite revolution takes a hard decision for Tris preparing her to war against her own family faction, Abnegation. Many conflicts show stressing and depression on the most part of Tris struggle.
